Title #1: UF Sailing Team's Equipment Damaged by High Winds

Description: The UF sailing team's fleet of boats were badly damaged by high winds on December 14. They are currently trying to raise money in order to replace or repair the broken boats.

Problem: The dilemma is that the UF sailing team don't know how to counteract Mother Nature, which can act out randomly and viciously.

Who Must Deal with Problem: The UF sailing team is the ones who have this problem because it's their boats. They need to find a solution to better protect their fleet from future occurrences of high winds.

Title #2: Local Vape Shops Lose Profits Due to Recent Tobacco Laws 


Description: The vape shops in Gainesville are losing out on a lot of revenue due to the new law signed by Donald Trump. The new law required individuals to be aged 21 or up to be able to purchase tobacco or e-cigarette products.

Problem: The vape shops had a lot of customer under the age of 21 that would buy those product under the tobacco and e-cigarette classification. Therefore, they completely lose out on these customer instantly without a say.

Who Must Deal with Problem: The vape shops must find a way to replace those lost revenues either by selling more to 21+ yr olds or sell similar legal products as replacements/substitutes to the underaged kids in hopes of replacing their demands.

Title #3: UF Student Dies Days After Being Struck by Vehicle 


Description: A UF student was walking home from class when she was hit by a car. The accident occurred on 250 East University Avenue at 8:16pm on Monday.

Problem: Pedestrian Crosswalks are still a dangerous situation for people to walk cross as there is dependence on both the driver and the walker to behave according. If one fails to comply, tragic accidents like this one above will occur. Negligence around pedestrian crosswalk have and will continue to cause severe and fatal events.

Who Must Deal with Problem: Both the driver and victim must deal with the burden of this tragic accident. With the victim suffering the physical damages, the victim's family and friends must carry on without their beloved one. For the driver, the person continue with the memory of what occur and the mistakes that were made.

Title #4: UF Implements Two-Factor Authentication to Combat Cybercrime


Description: UF has implemented an extra step of cyber security system to protect students and faculty from potential cyber attacks. This act will help further secure the private information of UF student and faculty body better than its previous cyber system.

Problem: With overall growing threat of cyber attacks, UF has taken it upon themselves to protect it people's interest and private information from getting stolen. Cyber attacks can cause sensitive information leaks, identity theft, and electrical blackouts.

Who Must Deal with Problem: UF and its people must deal with the everyday potential of hackers attacking a large university database.

Title #5: UF Health monitors coronavirus spreading to Gainesville


Description: UF Health is closely monitor the recently discovered coronavirus as it can easily travel amongst people. Rumors stating a parent might have left Wuhan to Gainesville before the quarantine began.

Problem: A potential life-threatening diseases in a highly dense area of population is a huge cause of concern because many people can obtain the disease and pass it along quickly.

Who Must Deal with Problem: UF must watch over the health and safety of its student body and faculty members. Their responsibility is to limit or contain any possible threat or situation that might occur.
