Solving the Problem
Opportunity: UF students not knowing how to
build credit
Solution: UF
should provide a class for this problem. It should be called CRD2850 because
the class shouldn't be an upper-level class and 850 is the maximum credit
score. This class should detail what credit is, how to build credit, what
good/bad credit can cause, and what other things credit can do. This class
should be mandatory and require students to get involved outside of the class. For
example, students could open some type of checking account or credit card, and throughout
the semester, they learn how to use either and master their spending to build
their credit. Therefore, after the class, they can continue these habits and teachings
for the rest of their life because unlike most classes, this class would provide
useless information and techniques to use in everyday life. Finally, what would
help the class be more effectively is if the class was made free for students
to not add onto the costs or credits for pay for with their student loans.
