What Question Response:
I believe all student need help with this challenge regards of what they think they know about building credit.
Why Question Response:
I have heard horror stories of people going into situations to buying a car or house and finding out their credit score is horrible because of past mistakes. So, I feel like it's definitely the lack of knowledge over the student loan problem for sure.

Interviewee #2:

Who Question Response:
I do think UF students and other college students should learn about credit, but I feel like some people already have their situation together. I mean... they did get into UF!
What Question Response:
I feel like some students need to have a step-by-step walkthrough or course to keep about credit building, but not all.
Why Question Response:
I think the bigger challenge is the massive amount of student loans that students have to face rather than the lack of knowledge.

Interviewee #3:

Who Question Response:
I believe all college students need a few lessons in credit score building. I don't think 18-19 years old coming into college having any idea how to live on their own let alone build credit.
What Question Response:
I think all student definitely have this challenge, and it's bad. Although, I think it can be easily fix with just a conversation or discussion.
Question Response:
I don't think other college students see how important building credit is and it's scary.

Interviewee #4:

Who Question Response:
I don't think all people need to learn about credit building, whether young or old.
What Question Response:
I believe all student have this challenge and other challenges that are related such as how to properly pay bills, setup saving accounts, etc.
Why Question Response:
I believe the challenge occurs more because of lack of knowledge compared to the massive amount of student loans as students are around 18-19 coming into college and know only so much.

Interviewee #5:

Who Question Response:
I believe anyone need the knowledge of credit building, how credit works, or how to read what a good credit score is.
What Question Response:
I don't know if other students will agree with me, but I do believe that most students should go to
Wells Fargo at Reitz Union or a local bank to get help. I believe any and all students can learn more.
Why Question Response:
I believe the challenge is more due to the lack of knowledge as some student have scholarships and bright futures to pay for the costs; yet they still don't know how to manage or build their credit.

Summary:
I think all people seeing the huge opportunity for UF students and other people to learn how to build their credit. Also, I believe with this information that we can get closer to help those in need in solving this problem and providing a solution for people to gain from. Finally, I learned that there's a more deeper problem than what I originally thought there was. UF students don't know how to build credit, but also don't know how credit works at all.

Comments

  1. Your summary basically says it all because college students do not realize the big of a role that credit plays into your life and it is not made as much of a priority as it should. There should be made more opportunities for students to be able to learn about their credit and what they can do to advance it while they are still in school.
